EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Car enthusiasts and families gathered Sunday at Twin Peaks West for the 2nd Annual Rolling with the Ladies Car Show, a women-led celebration highlighting the growing role of women in car culture.

Organizers say the event is designed to celebrate women in the automotive community while fostering connection, empowerment and purpose, following what they described as a successful inaugural year. The show, held during Women’s History Month, aims to highlight female leadership and creativity while welcoming anyone who shares a love for cars and community.

The car show was scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. and featured custom cars, trucks, classics and specialty vehicles. The event also included vendors, food and music.

“Rolling with the Ladies is about so much more than cars,” organizers Cristina, Tina and Sara said. “It’s about empowering women, building community, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. The love, support and energy we experienced last year were truly incredible, and we are beyond excited to bring this event back even stronger.”

Organizers said the event’s continued growth has been supported by local businesses, sponsors, volunteers and participants.

Belén Caspillo, who goes by Lowrider Girl, shared that lowriding and car culture have always been a part of her life, and she is excited to see more women take part in it.

"My parents have been lowriding since they were 16, and I've been into Lowriding since I was a baby," Caspillo said. "It's something that finally the women are starting to do now. Being a woman, I feel like a lot of the time we've been told, 'you can't do it, stay out of it.'"

Caspillo applauds events such as Rolling with the Ladies that help empower other women.

"I think it empowers women to come out and be able to build their rides...and to not be overlooked," Caspillo said. "Because at the end of the day, women can low ride just as hard as men do, and it's finally being shown now."
